1908-The Lower East Side, NYC (near Essex Street).  The Polish Immigrants popularize the bagel, earning NYC the reputation as the bagel capital of the modern world.

1940 NYC-Fresh, Hot Bagels become popular in NYC Coffee Shops.  (Notice-A Bagel & Coffee 10 cents)

1960 UWS NYC-The Upper West Side of Manhattan becomes identified with the world's most popular, authentic bagels.

2010 NYC - The end of an era in the bagel world as H&H Bagels, after years of  adversity, ceases to exist, leaving a potential void in the retail bagel capital of the world.

2013-Essex Street, NYC- Davidovich Bakery emerges as the quintessential, Artisan Bagel baker in NYC and the world.  After years of supplying the wholesale community around the world, the company opens a Landmark retail store at 120 Essex Street, NYC (lower East Side) in the place where NYC's bagel forefathers perfected the art of bagel making.
